With the explosion in case opening popularity, one of the main things that keeps people coming back, aside from usability and design, of course, is interesting features. From time to time, we come across certain features that keep us using a site. This, of course, is beyond what gamers expect to find on a site as a bare minimum, like free cases, case categories, security, multiple payment methods, etc.
Today, we’re reviewing a site offering just about everything you want from a case-opening site, including buying skins directly on the site.
Come along with us as we check out everything CSGO Cases has to offer. Of course, we’ll break everything down further down. Before doing that, here’s a snapshot of what you can expect:
Cases: this site has a wide variety of cases to open. It also has a feature we’re excited to try out and tell you about. We love suspense, so we’ll dive into that feature a bit further down.
- Giveaways: we can’t remember seeing a site with such a comprehensive list of free cases, giveaways, lotteries, and competitions. Great stuff.
- Skin Upgrader: nothing new here. You can expect this to function like other upgraders. But, that’s not such a bad thing.
- Partnerships: Make money by helping CSGO Cases advertise. Yes, please.
- Store: As mentioned above, if you don’t want to try your luck getting the skin you want, you can buy it directly from the CSGO Cases store.
So, we hope you enjoy reviewing our CSGO Cases review. Let’s. Get. Started!
CSGO Cases Opening Experience
CSGO Cases is easy to navigate. Though we did run into a few strange UI decisions, the long list of free CSGO Cases cases, giveaways, lotteries, and competitions immediately made up for the need to click around and explore things to understand how they work. After all, once we knew how things worked, we knew. Overall, the experience we’ve had so far on the site is decent.
As we said, we only found 1 thing that was kind of strange when it came to usability. Let’s take a look at that now.
Navigation and Usability
Upon creating our account, which is done using the standard way of connecting our Steam account, we began exploring. Everything is pretty straightforward, meaning you know what will happen/where you will go before you click on something, which is always lovely.
The features on CSGO Cases can mostly all be found on the top navigation menu: Giveaways, Upgrader, FAQ, Partner, and Shop.
Clicking on each option takes you to a new page—all except the “Giveaways” option. Just hover your mouse over that, and you’ll see a dropdown menu with tons of cool options to click on. We’ll explore each option further down. However, it may be faster to create an account and explore those yourself.
We see a few usability issues when opening cases. We’ll define those when we review the case-opening feature in detail.
The visual design is kind of basic, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as we’ve seen much worse.
Visual Design and Appeal
The site’s basic design does very little to catch our eyes. However, it also does very little to distract us from the features the site contains and its usability. So, in this case, basic really isn’t that bad at all.
The case designs are the core of the site. They are the only elements whose styling seems to have been thought out.
One thing is for sure, a quick refresh of the design and usability may help gain and retain more users.
Pros and Cons of Using CSGO Cases
There are plenty of pros and cons with using CSGO Cases. We’ll quickly summarize them here and then expand on them as we get deeper into our CSGO Cases review.
- Cool create-a-case feature: It allows users to create their own cases, select the skins, and even choose the percentage of the profit the creator gets every time one of those cases sells. There will definitely be more on this later.
- Tons of giveaways, lotteries, free cases, etc.: there’s more than enough to keep us coming back. Without a huge number of players, our chances of winning may be better than we think.
- Enough payment options: you won’t have any issues finding a way to deposit money in your account.
- Very basic design: It’s, well, meh. The team may want to consider a quick refresh.
- Lack of skin % in cases: though the skins on the homepage show all of the skins in each case, they do lack the percentage you have of receiving each one. Which is kind of a red flag in our book. Oddly enough, if you create a case, it will show the percentages you select for each skin.
- Forced to withdraw skins: in our opinion, this is another red flag. If you don’t withdraw a skin you receive within 31 days of receiving it, it is automatically sold.
CSGOCases Bonuses, Partnerships, and Referral Codes
A decent bonus that CSGO Cases offers is the 77-cent bonus you may be eligible for when you create an account. You’ll need to meet certain restrictions: your Steam account level must be higher than 0, and you’ll need to deposit $1.
In addition, there is tons of cool stuff under the “Giveaway” section on the top navigation menu. Let’s cover those now.
Free Daily Case
To open this case, you must meet a couple of requirements. You’ll need to add “CS.PRO” to your Steam name, have played CS2 for at least 2 hours, and have your Steam profile data set to public. After that, you’ll have a chance to receive 1 of 17 skins every day. We aren’t sure of the probability of winning each one; as we stated earlier, they don’t show skin percentages. Not sure why you can select how many to open. A slight UI flaw. But, still, it’s free.
Free Daily Case 2
The second of the 2 free daily cases also has a couple of requirements to open it. You’ll need to set the CSGO Cases logo as your Steam avatar, play CS2 for at least 2 hours, and have your Steam profile data set to public. You’ll also have a chance to win one of 17 skins each day.
Get USD
There are also 7 additional things you can do to get free cash deposited into your account, from following their X account to using a referral code for your first CSGO Cases deposit. Without even making a deposit, you can get a free 10 cents—enough to open one of the user cases. Not so bad.
Free USD
Though the “Get USD” feature does give you free USD, this feature is a bit different. Every day, the 6 users who deposit the most amount win free money, from $5 to $100. And this contest runs every single day. Not bad.
Giveaway 1 and 2
There are 2 different types of giveaways. Each one runs for 24 hours, and both are held daily. To enter Giveaway 1, you’ll need to add “CS.PRO” to your Steam name and to enter Giveaway 2; you’ll need to set the CSGO Cases logo as your Steam avatar. This is all right, as you’ll need to do those things to open the free cases anyway. So, why not?
Lotteries
There are 5 different lotteries. A lottery entrance is based on the amount you’ve deposited into your account. It’s tough to find information about the lotteries’ durations or prize values because the website doesn’t provide any. It’s kind of frustrating. All you get is a timer counting down to the next lottery. However, we can give you some rough estimates by looking at the winners list. Let’s take a look at the choices:
- Mini: 6 hour duration. $2 deposit to enter. Approximately a $2 prize.
- Small: 24 hour duration. $5 deposit to enter. Approximately a $8-$10 prize.
- Medium: 3 day duration. $10 deposit to enter. Approximately a $50 prize.
- Big: 5 day duration. $20 deposit to enter. Approximately a $500 prize.
- Mega: 30 day duration. $50 deposit to enter. Approximately a $1000 prize.
Each participant’s list shows their percentage chance of winning based on how much money they deposited.
Lucky ticket
The lucky ticket is basically a drawing that takes place every week. To enter the drawing, you’ll need to purchase a ticket for 3 cents. Every single person who enters has an equal chance of winning. Good luck!
Partnership System
The CSGO Cases Partnership Program offers users a real way of making some legit cash. However, reaching the top tier may take a lot of work. How it works:
- Click partnership on the top navigation menu.
- Copy your “reflink” and share it with your friends or across socials.
- Receive a percentage of every deposit made by the people who join using your link.
You can customize your “reflink” right below your link. And the percentages are very generous. Right away, you’ll get 5% of any deposit made. That number goes up to 10% if you manage to get 1000 people to join using your link. That’s a challenging task to complete. However, if you do, you’ll be able to buy some decent skins with the free cash.
Also, everyone using your link gets a free $1 in their account. It’s a win-win situation.
Promo Codes
As we stated earlier, you can use a CSGO Cases promo code to get 77 cents free added to your balance once you deposit at least $2. Additionally, CSGO Cases shares promo codes for rewards across its social media.
Case Opening and Key Features
CSGO Case has a couple of features we’ll review. There’s one we really love and one we hate to see missing. Either way, here’s a snapshot of the case categories:
- Quality cases – the skins in these cases are divided by rarity.
- Unique cases – most of the skins in these cases are connected to the name of the case. For example, the skins in the “Tiger” case mostly all have some sort of tiger stripe design.
- Weapon cases – all of the skins in these cases are dedicated to a specific type of gun.
- Special cases – the themes in these cases are kind of hit and miss. Some seem to be connected to the name of the case, while others seem random.
- CS:GO cases – typical cases directly connected to CS
- Creme de la creme – we assume these are the cases that hold the skins CSGO Cases think are the best of the best. However, that’s tough to assume when the cheapest case is under $1.
- User cases – this is a cool feature. We’ll dive deep into it right below.
- Case battles – don’t exist on the site. And we miss it. Case battles are something we not only love to participate in but also love to watch.
And remember one thing that may be a red flag is that CSGO Cases doesn’t list the percentage chance you have of getting each skin. The top skins in each case could have a 0.00000001% chance. Who knows?
Case opening
Opening cases on CSGO Cases is pretty straightforward. We mean, when it comes to the Official cases. Every case has several options:
- Number of cases to open – it’s possible to open up to 5 cases at once.
- Price – the cost to open the selected number of cases.
- Rapid opening – speeds up the process of selecting which skin you receive.
Don’t worry; we won’t mention again that they don’t state the percentages of each skin in the cases.
Also, remember that any skin that sits in your CSGO Cases inventory for more than 31 days will be automatically sold. We hate this feature.
User Cases
This is the feature we love. It makes up for the lack of case battles as it’s something you can set up and just let it run to make extra cash. You could even go as far as promoting the cases you create across your socials to make them more visible and increase the money you make. But before discussing that, let’s discuss how the feature works. We love it!
So, what are user cases? In short, they are cases that users custom-built. Here’s how it works:
- On the homepage, click on “User cases.” This is the toggle that also says “Official cases.”
- You’ll see a menu with various options next to the toggle you just clicked.
- This part of the user flow makes no sense to us. Mixed into the options is an option called “Case creator.” Click that.
- We finally land on the place where we can create our own case.
If the case creator option were easier to find, more cases could be created. It would also be nice to see how many of each case has been opened. However, one thing the user cases do have that we love that the official cases don’t is that they show the percentage chance of winning each skin within the cases themselves. Anyway, let’s get started:
This is the name that will appear under the case. Be sure to keep the name shorter than 20 characters.
Select Button Color and Case Design
We then needed to select the color of the button that shows the price. We’ll either want it to match the box’s color or be the opposite to stand out better. We’ll need to test both options.
Set Your Revenue Share
This is the percentage you’ll get from the overall price of the case. In our opinion, this part should be last and show the amount earned. Otherwise, once we select our skins and percentages of each one, we’ll have to scroll back up and adjust this. Seems like more work.
Add your skins
This is likely the most time-consuming part of creating your own case. Thankfully, there is a search bar and filters to speed things up.
Set The Drop Percentages
This is where you’ll really need to give it some thought. The price for the case is automatically generated based on the skins you’ve selected and the percentages you set. You’ll also see the case price and the amount you’ll receive every time someone opens it.
You’ll want to pay careful attention to the skins you select and the percentages you set—case in point: Check out the image above. Not a single person will buy this case simply because the cost of the case is higher than the best item they can win, even if that item is set at almost 99%.
If you want the percentages randomly set, click the icon next to the “Create Case” button. This is a good way to get a feel for how certain percentages will affect the case price for the skins you’ve selected.
Once you’re all set, click “Create Case” and you’re ready.
Shop
CSGO Cases is more than a case-opening site. It also has a shop where you can search for and purchase skins directly from the site without having to open cases. This may be a great feature to complement the next feature we discuss.
Why? Because you may want a specific skin in your inventory to throw into the upgrader. The shop lets you purchase what you want without relying on luck. This is actually pretty cool.
Upgrader
The upgrader functions like almost every other upgrader, which isn’t a bad thing. Simply select the skin or skins you want to upgrade, the skin you’d like to upgrade to, and test your luck. We managed to upgrade a skin to 4x the value before losing. We should have stopped while we were ahead.
We aren’t sure if you are forced to transfer the skin you buy to Steam or if you can keep it in your CSGO Cases inventory to upgrade, as we can’t get the site to recognize our trade link. So maybe buying something from the shop won’t work to use in the upgrader, as the button in the shop says “Buy and Send.” Oh well, it’s time to test out Support.
Community Features
As far as we can tell, there isn’t a way to engage with other users on the site. We mean, CSGO Cases does have socials, and you can do that there. But as far as community features on the site, there are none. Unless you include changing your info on Steam to open free cases as a community feature, we don’t.
Account and Support Services
Unfortunately, there isn’t a live chat option, and the FAQ section only has 10 questions and answers. We’ll have to email support. Finding the contact info wasn’t easy. We assumed it would be at the bottom of the homepage, but it wasn’t. We finally located it at the bottom of the FAQ section. By the way, it states that we can also contact them on Facebook. At least there are options.
Statistics
The stats of CSGO Cases are minimal. However, what we can see is about average. Not great. Not bad.
- Players online – 600, at the time of writing.
- Opened cases – almost 49M. That’s a considerable amount.
- Operating since – 2018. That’s a lot of cases considering the amount of players online at any given time, operating since 2018, and no case battle feature. Hmmmm.
We have to give them the benefit of the doubt. And, maybe a quick redesign would help push these numbers up.
Social Media and Community
CSGO Cases does have a fair share of socials. And they do offer free money for participating in each one. So we expect the number to be pretty nice. Let’s take a look at what they have:
- Facebook – the Facebook community has about 120k followers and 115k likes, which is a considerable amount. The page is active but not very active. With that many followers, one would wonder why they don’t post several times a day. It must be the CSGO Cases bonus. It looks like a lost opportunity to really grow the site.
- Instagram – has almost 60k followers. If you are looking for a CSGO Cases promo code, this is where you’ll find it. That’s basically all they post.
- X (Twitter) – almost 46k followers. Not bad. We have the same comment we have about Facebook.
CSGO Cases Glossary
The terminology is pretty straightforward, so we don’t need to include an extensive glossary. However, we’ll throw in a couple of definitions you may need.
Official case – these are official cases, either by CSGO Cases of CS2.
User case – cases that are created by users.
Giveaway – where you can find the free cases, giveaways, lotteries, etc.
Your panel – basically, your home. You can see your account info, inventory, created cases, upgrade history, and much more.
Best Cases and Skins
Among the cases created by the company, the “knives” case is the best. It includes more than 200 knives. Given the unknown chance of getting the best skins in it, you may want to stay away from paying its $174.99 price tag.
Some of the best items on the site include skins like Karambit | Crimson Web, AWP | Dragon Lore, Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze, Sport Gloves | Vice, and M4A4 | Howl. While nothing exceeds $7,000, some impressive and valuable options are still available.
We recommend finding the gems in the User-created cases. At least there, you know your chances.
Interesting Cases List
Here are our top 5 official and user created cases:
Official cases
- Ultra
- Magic
- Perfecto
- TNT
- Knives
User created cases
- Cases Ultra Knife
- Karambit 100%
- 10x Free Wildfire
- Karambit X Butterfly
- OnlyGloves
Case Odds and Fairness
We aren’t sure—at least not when it comes to the official cases. The user-created cases are a bit more transparent about the chances of receiving any given skin, so it’s very tough for us to recommend opening any official cases.
Winning Chances
Again, we are sure when it comes to the official cases. And we can’t find any listed information about transparency or odds on the site. So, open at your own risk, we guess.
Legitimacy and Regulation
We can’t comment on the site’s legitimacy and regulation as we cannot find any information about it. However, a quick search on TrustPilot shows that the site has a solid 4.3/5 score.
Is CSGO Cases a legit website?
Based on the CSGO Cases TrustPilot score and over 750 reviews, we’d say that the site seems legit, even if we think we’ve seen some red flags.
Deposit And Withdrawal Methods
One of the pros of CSGO Cases is that there are plenty of ways to deposit money into your account. Check out the ways that are available where we currently are:
- Zen – this offers just about everything; Blik, Credi Cards, Bank Transfer, Google Pay, Crypto, iDeal, and many other options.
- SMS+ – Use your phone service to pay.
- Gift Cards – you can purchase gift cards through Kinguin CSGO Cases’ partnership.
- Pay by Skins – there are three different options.
- Crypto – there are 12 different options available.
- Refcode or Promo code – you can get these from your friends or by following CSGO Cases’ socials.
It isn’t possible to withdraw funds on CSGO Cases. However, you can withdraw skins. Just remember, you only have 31 days to withdraw any given skin once it hits your inventory.
Comparative Analysis
We’ve tested many case opening and case trading sites, some amazing and some awful. This falls a little bit closer to amazing than it does awful. We love the user case feature. We hate not seeing what percentage of skins each case holds. We miss case battles. But we are amazed by the vast number of giveaways, lotteries, and other free stuff. So, it pretty much sits in the middle of the sites we’ve tested.
CSGO Cases Rating
CSGO Cases is pretty straightforward when it comes to usability. We encountered a few strange user flow things and had a few issues, but all in all, it was easy to navigate, though that may be due to the basic design.
- Design and usability: 3/5
- Bonuses (free cases): 4.5/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Payment methods: 4.5/5
- Case transparency: 1.5/5
- Overall Rating: 3.3/5
The case transparency really kills the score. I’m not sure why they hide it, but whatever the reason, it doesn’t make me want to open any of the official cases.

Is the CSGO Cases subscription worth it?

How long does CSGO Cases support take?
The support should get back to you in a couple of business days. However, we’ll see as we had to write to them about our trade link not working.
How do you get CSGO Cases free daily case?
There are two type of free cases:
- Free case 1: you’ll need to add “CS.PRO” to your Steam name, have played CS2 for at least 2 hours and have your Steam profile data set to public.
Free case 2: you’ll need to set the CSGO Cases logo as your Steam avatar, have played CS2 for at least 2 hours and have your Steam profile data set to public.
What does CSGO Cases do?
CSGO Cases is a case-opening site that allows you to win CS2 skins and other in-game items, as well as create your own cases and buy skins for the CSGO Cases shop.
Can you open cases on CSGO Cases?
Yes. That is the main purpose of the site.
Can you get banned for using CSGO Cases?
We aren’t sure. There’s no information on this. In fact, some user created cases have some pretty extreme names. If those users are not banned, not sure anything will get you banned.
Final Words
We love and hate this site. We will definitely start experimenting with the user-created case feature. It may be an amazing way to generate money simply by creating fair cases and advertising them across our socials.
We hate that there is zero transparency across the official cases. We aren’t sure we will ever pay to open another one. Ever.
All in all. It’s better than some sites and worse than others. Without the case-creating feature and massive amount of giveaways, lotteries, and free stuff, we doubt we would use this site at all. But they have it. So we will.
